I teach Hatha Yoga, Yogalates and Chair Yoga. I live with my husband by the river in Strawberry Hill – nestled between Twickenham and Teddington.
My Yoga journey began in 2018 and quickly became a meaningful part of my everyday life. I attended my first Yoga class at the age of 54, while experiencing joint pains during the menopause. I instantly loved the way it made me feel, both physically and mentally. From that very first class, I was hooked, and I’ve continued to practice regularly ever since.
Eager to learn more, I completed the 6 month Yoga Foundation Course with the British Wheel of Yoga in March 2020. I had planned further training with the BWY but a fall that resulted in a lower back injury changed everything for a while. Through consultations with health professionals and back care specialists, I gradually regained my strength and returned to a regular practice – this time with an even deeper awareness of my body.
That experience led me to the 218 hour Accessible Hatha Yoga Teacher Training, which gave me the tools to teach variations of each pose, making the practice truly accessible and adaptable for every body. My injury and the journey of healing taught me invaluable lessons about listening to my body and protecting my back.
More recently, I completed an 80 hour Yogalates Teacher Training, a fusion of Hatha Yoga and mat Pilates, using resistance bands, pilates balls and small hand weights. This training allows me to design classes that target deep core muscles, improve core stability, posture and back health, enhance strength and support healthy ageing.
I feel truly honoured to teach these wonderful practices and share the many benefits they have to offer – from strengthening and calming to improving balance and joint mobility, just to mention a few.
The more I explore the other limbs of yoga, its philosophy, mindfulness and breathing techniques, the deeper my passion grows. I continue to attend classes, workshops and CPD trainings, to support my personal growth and to enrich the experience of those I teach.
I invite you to explore my classes and experience the benefits of a mindful, inclusive practice that supports both body and mind.
Warm wishes,
